Footsteps: A toolkit connecting churches to their community

“To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.” (1 Peter 2:21)
It is time to take a fresh look around us – at groups, individuals and our environment – and at ourselves, as we develop new ways of being and “doing” church.

The biblical reference above reminds us that we must explore what it means to actively follow and learn from Christ, to transform ourselves and others. The United Reformed Church’s focus on ‘Walking the Way’ of Jesus today is reflected in this toolkit as we explore how your church fellowship can get further involved in its local community, seeing our discipleship lived out every day.

It aims to provide a step-by-step guide to identifying the gifts we have amongst us and to share these with one another, at church and in our local areas.
